Wildrose Shadow Economic Development and Trade Minister Prasad Panda today launched a fact-finding tour to meet with local businesses, economic development associations, incubators and accelerators on how to diversify Alberta’s economy and attract investment.
The tour will be an opportunity to talk face to face with job creators in the province about the damaging impact NDP policies are having on our province, and solutions to combat the risky approach the government is taking.
“Our province is facing the worst economic downturn in decades, and we are seeing investment leave the province when we need it most,” Panda said. “My goal with this tour is to present Wildrose ideas to spur investment and innovation, create jobs, and listen to common sense ideas from those I meet with.”
Another key focus is to look for ways to improve market access through voicing strong support for reducing trade barriers and the development of energy infrastructure.
Panda will be making stops in Calgary, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Drayton Valley, Fort Saskatchewan and Red Deer on the first leg of the tour.
