Wildrose Announces Rob Gregory As Final Senate Candidate
CALGARY, AB (March 28, 2012): Wildrose is pleased to announce Calgarian Rob Gregory as their third Senate Candidate. “Rob comes to us with an extensive background in justice and law enforcement. He is a strong Wildroser and he’s very passionate about serving Albertans in the Senate,” said Wildrose Leader Danielle Smith.
“We are delighted to have Rob join Vitor and Raymond on our senate team. We have Senate nominees from Edmonton, Calgary and small town Alberta. Wildrose has long-believed in electing Senators and we believe that Alberta’s elected Senators should represent the diversity of Alberta.” In addition to serving 11 years as police officer, Rob Gregory dealt with over 50,000 cases as a paralegal Provincial Traffic Court prosecutor. For the last eight years, Gregory has owned and operated Gregory Ticket Office. Gregory was Wildrose’s candidate in the riding of Calgary Mackay in the 2008 general elections. He lives in northwest Calgary with his wife Patricia. Like Wildrose candidates Vitor Marciano (Edmonton) and Raymond Germain (St. Paul), Rob Gregory intends to sit in caucus with the Conservative Party of Canada if appointed to the Senate by Prime Minister Harper. Wildrose's commitment to Senate reform has been unequivocal. Unlike the current government that abandoned Alberta's renowned national leadership on Senate reform and cancelled Senate Elections anticipated for 2010, Wildrose has always supported a democratically elected Senate. We are pleased that the government will now allow Albertans to democratically elect their Senate nominees. Wildrose stands for free enterprise, less government, increased personal freedom and democracy.
