PC campaign slogan: We'll tell you ...after the election!
EDMONTON, AB (February 23, 2012): Premier Alison Redford has added a public inquiry into physician intimidation to the growing list of promises she says she will keep – but only after the provincial election.
In Question Period today, Wildrose House Leader Rob Anderson said the health inquiry falls into the same category that ruling out tax hikes, balancing the budget, fixing MLA pay and severance and enforcing the unpopular .05 drinking law do: Not until after the election. “The PC slogan for this upcoming election ought to be ‘Vote PC, we’ll tell you our plans after the election,’” Anderson said. “Premier, will you commit to ensuring that your long promised public inquiry into the physician intimidation and the ER crisis is up and running before the election is called, or are you going to wait until after the election just like everything else you’ve promised?” Anderson also reminded Redford she did promise shortly after becoming premier last fall to have the inquiry “up and running before an election next year.” The Wildrose Caucus stands for free enterprise, less government, increased personal freedom and democracy.
