Hunter statement on National Day of Mourning
Wildrose Shadow Jobs Minister Grant Hunter released the following statement to mark Canada’s National Day of Mourning:
“Our National Day of Mourning was established as a way to honour the memories of those who have lost their lives in the course of their work.
“Last year, 125 Albertans never came home from work. Today, our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones who mourn their loss on a daily basis, as well as those still suffering as the result of workplace injuries.
“As we remember the victims of workplace accidents, we are reminded of the importance of ensuring that, as a province, we remain committed to the highest standards when it comes to keeping Albertans safe.”
