EDMONTON, AB (March 5, 2012): Premier Alison Redford should immediately release a priority list of school projects and put an end to the type of intimidation and bullying PC MLA Hector Goudreau demonstrated to his local school division, Wildrose Education Critic Rob Anderson said today.
Goudreau penned a letter to the local superintendent threatening to delay a new school lest the division use more “diplomatic” criticism toward the government. “Will you commit right now to immediately publish a list of all school board funding requests for new schools and school maintenance … so that communities and parents across Alberta can feel safe that you and your government will not politically extort or punish their children for their parents committing the cardinal sin of speaking out against the PC government? “ Anderson asked. The Wildrose has committed to releasing a public and prioritized list of infrastructure projects, including schools. The Wildrose Caucus stands for free enterprise, less government, increased personal freedom and democracy.
