Grant Hunter was elected to the Alberta Legislature on May 05, 2015 in the constituency of Cardston - Taber - Warner.
Grant’s mantra has always been to focus on solutions rather than problems. The problems facing Albertans are monumental but pledges to develop the right solutions in order to help Albertans renew the Alberta Advantage!
Grant was grew up in High River, Alberta to a family that taught the importance of political involvement and activism from a very young age. Grant and his family have lived in Cardston for the past 8 years. Grant, and his wife of 25 years, Angie, have 5 children and are pleased to announce the birth of their first grandson on April 12!
Grant received his Bachelor of Science degree from BYU in 1994 and also recvently fulfilled a life-long goal of obtaining his Master’s Degree in Business Administration. For the first two years of Grant’s career he taught school. Business has always been Grant’s passion and chose to enter the often tumultuous realm of entrepreneurship. Grant has run small start-ups to multi-million dollar businesses. Grant has been a partner with his father Roy in Hunter Construction for the past 10 years where they specialize in residential and commercial construction.
Grant has served on the Highwood Reform Party board of directors, the Fort Macleod Economic Development Council, Anasazi Canada board of directors, the Cardston Lions Club and the federal Conservative Party of Canada board in the Medicine Hat-Cardston.
Grant will work hard every day for his community and the constituents of Medicine Hat-Cardston, and looks forward to holding our new government to account.
