2013 Alberta 55 Plus Summer Games showcase spirit and vitality of seniors: Towle

WESTLOCK, AB (July 25, 2013): Today, Wildrose Official Opposition Seniors Critic Kerry Towle welcomed the opening of the 2013 Alberta 55 Plus Summer Games and made the following statement: “I would like to recognize and commend the competitive spirit of seniors from around the province as they arrive in Barrhead and Westlock to participate in the 2013 Alberta 55 Plus Summer Games.

“Whether competing in golf, shuffleboard, pool, bocce or any of the other great events, I wish all seniors in the summer games an enjoyable time of recreation and friendly competition. As the Wildrose Seniors Critic, I am always encouraged to see the spirit and vitality of Alberta’s seniors when they come together to participate in sport. “I would also like to recognize the superb work of this year’s hosting communities, Barrhead and Westlock. These communities have gone above the call of duty to provide a first class summer games experience, and I commend the countless hours of hard work and dedication of the volunteers who have made this year’s games possible.”
